Elevate Your Diving Skills to the Next Level
The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to expand your knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level. You’ll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well-being of other divers. This course is both challenging and rewarding, building your confidence and making you a better dive buddy.
Through a combination of theory and practical exercises, you’ll learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, becoming more confident in your skills as a diver. Topics include self-rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management, and equipment issues. The course culminates in realistic rescue scenarios that will test your abilities. 
The Rescue Diver course at Rainbow Reef Dive Center is priced at $399. This includes the PADI eLearning code ($211 value), dive trips, and instruction. Please note that equipment rental is not included. The course typically spans 2-3 days and can be tailored to fit your schedule. 
Prerequisites for the course include a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) and a current CPR and First Aid certification. If you don’t have a current CPR certification, we offer the Emergency First Response (EFR) course for an additional $159. An optional Emergency Oxygen Provider course is also available for $159. Completing these courses in conjunction with the Rescue Diver course provides a comprehensive emergency training package.
The course typically spans 2-3 days, depending on your schedule and the completion of prerequisites. 
Yes, a current CPR and First Aid certification is required. If you don’t have one, we offer the Emergency First Response (EFR) course for an additional fee.
No, equipment rental is not included. You can rent the necessary gear from our dive center. 
Yes, the PADI Rescue Diver course offers an eLearning option that allows you to complete the knowledge development portion online at your own pace.
